This soap has quite the journey to becoming soap.  First we start out by gently simmering calendula petals in organic olive oil inside a big glass canning jar over low heat for 8 hours.  Then the Calendula-infused olive oil is allowed to cool overnight, during which time to nutrients are released even more into the olive oil.  Then the petals are strained out through a cheesecloth.  Next comes the actual soap making process.  All these luscious ingredients each have their own unique properties known for soothing dry, irritated skin.  Your skin will be so happy!

Fragrance:  None.  No added fragrance or essential oils.

About:  All our soaps are hand-crafted right here at Hammock Bay Soap studio in Pensacola, Florida.  We make it in very small batches so each bar can get the love and attention it deserves.  After the soap “batter” is poured into wooden molds it is covered with cozy blankets.  Over the next 24-48 hours it goes through the saponification process and transforms into beautiful soap.  We like to say the soap is sleeping and cannot be disturbed during that time.  After the magic has occurred and it is now soap, we unmold it, hand-cut each bar one at a time, and inspect each one.  They are then lined up on curing racks and allowed to quietly rest over the next 6-8 weeks.  Whew!  Then finally, each bar is inspected yet again, hand-wrapped and prepared to embark on their journey to their new homes.

Weight:  Approximately 3.4+ oz.  Please note that all our soaps are hand-cut so actual weight may vary slightly to your advantage!  They are often higher in weight than what is listed!

To Use:  Keep your soaps in a dry, ventilated area when not in use.  You can help them last far longer by creating this perfect environment.  You may wish to purchase a wooden soap rack to help with this process.
